Sunday 5pm • Nia
Movement has always been a big part of my life. My parents were both athletes, so I was introduced from a very early age to soccer, basketball, gymnastics, aerobics and in my 20’s took up running and yoga. I always loved to dance, but never thought I was good at it. Thankfully I got to the point in my life where I worried less about how I looked dancing, and focused more on how great it made me feel.
I began my Nia practice in 2013 and was hooked. As a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master I was looking for a way to strengthen my body in a healthy, balanced way, and at the same time clear my energy and feel re-balanced after a day of work.
In addition to meeting my immediate needs, Nia also brought me so much more. Through my Nia practice my self-confidence increased, and I developed a greater love for my body. Most importantly, Nia has brought more joy into my life.
In December 2014 I completed the White Belt training and ever since I have been enjoying the exploration of Nia as both a teacher and a student. I love being able to share the Joy of Movement with my students and to see how Nia touches and expands their lives in new and different ways.
